L.A resident Gregg Kowalsky is an artist who composes and performs electro-acoustic material with a focus on multi channel, site-specific works with elements of psychoacoustic phenomena, or in other words, a concern for sound's psychological effects. Ambient, and calming, his music has an egoless charm. Kowalsky has just released a song called 'Sunstruck in the Shadows' for Mexican Summer's Looking Glass Series. It's a song that seems to calm your muscles more and more as the seconds pass, much like deepening a stretch with every breath. Synths that have a gong-like resonance and unobtrusive keyboard melodies create a peaceful sound bath.
